Join us on Saturday, December 12th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a festive day celebrating the holiday season as it would have been observed 200 years ago.
Throughout the day, watch Justine Rayfield prepare traditional Christmas foods over an open hearth using authentic period recipes. Visitors can see the preparation of seasonal favorites including gingerbread, hot spiced cider, roast meats, vegetables, and mincemeat pie, while learning about the culinary traditions of the past.
Perfect for holiday shopping, Ronald Rayfield will also be on hand offering a selection of his handmade traditional children's toys, crafted in the style of the colonial era. These unique gifts make wonderful Christmas presents and are sure to delight both young and old.
